We are part of the consortium that developed the consultancy for the “Metabolism Diagnosis of the Paraguayan Economy” in the construction, packaging and industrial sectors. The objective was to provide industries and the government with an evidence base for making decisions about public policies, financing and incentives based on the rate of consumption of natural resources.
We carry out an analysis of material flows and a calculation of the circularity rate of each sector, identifying linear risks and circular opportunities.
This project was carried out together with the Moisés Bertoni Foundation, BID Lab and an executing agency. The results of the study are published and available for consultation, offering a valuable tool for sustainable resource management in Paraguay.
The study analyzes the agriculture, livestock and forestry sectors, revealing their rates of consumption, underconsumption and overconsumption of natural biological resources. In addition, it assesses the level of circularity in these three sectors and identifies more than 60 opportunities to move towards a more regenerative economy.
Led by the Moisés Bertoni Foundation and Kolibri, with the support of the IDB Lab, the European Union and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in addition to the collaboration of more than 60 organizations that made it possible.
